Frank Brightwell, a high school college counselor and private educational consultant, has worked with young people and their families for nearly twenty years, much of that time at independent college preparatory schools. He is active in professional associations and has been elected by his peers to regional and national offices. He has made presentations to numerous groups on all aspects of the college admission process, and his article on athletic recruiting is published in the National Association for College Admission Counseling Practitioners’ Handbook. Mr. Brightwell has served as an advisor to The College Board, Kaplan, Upward Bound, The Princeton Review, APPLY!, MBNA, FamilyCare, PureAdvice, and college admission offices. In addition to working with students and their families from his offices in Maryland and California, he consults to corporations on education-related issues, and he works with schools and school systems interested in assessing and improving their college counseling services.
